India. Given the magnitude and the extent of this spread, the WHO has declared it a Pandemic. Apart from human suffering, it is also causing major economic disruptions. In order to deal with this public health situations, the corporate sector would be required to play a key role in implementing the strategic policy of decision of social distancing.
In order to generate greater awareness and confidence on our state of readiness, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has introduced and deployed a simple web form for Companies/LLPs to confirm their readiness to deal with COVID-19 threat.

1. Question: What is this web Form?
Answer: The web Form named CAR (Company Affirmation of Readiness towards COVID-19).
2.Question: Applicability of this Form?
Answer: This Form is applicable to Companies and LLPs.
3. Question: Date of deployment of the Form?
Answer: The Form shall be deployed on the 23rd of March, 2020.
4 Question: Who can file the Form?
Answer: Director/Authorised Signatory of the Companies & LLPs can file the form.
5 Question: Fee applicable for each Form?
Answer: There is no payment of fee applicable for this Form.
6 Question: What is the due date for filing of Form?
Answer: Corporates/ LLPs may submit it at the earliest, not later than 30.03.2020.
7 Question: How many DSC one have to affix in a single Form?
Answer: There is no requirement of DSC.
8 Question: What is the penalty amount in the case of non-filing?
Answer: No penalty and enforcement related action are applicable.
9 Question: Is it mandatory to file the form?
Answer: It is purely voluntary as a part of our contribution towards joining the movement to fight against the spread of the diseases.
10 Question: Is spending of CSR Funds for COVID-19 is eligible for CSR activity?
Answer: Yes, in the recent circular dated 23.03.2020 by Ministry of Corporate Affairs it has been clarified that the spending of CSR funds for COVID-19 is eligible for CSR activity.
